Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 1st September 2024 Written Episode Update: Abhira and Ruhi’s Argument

The episode begins with Abhira, Ruhi, Armaan, and Rohit in a heated argument. Abhira accuses Ruhi of not being able to change, while Ruhi defends herself, explaining that even though she wasn’t feeling well, she still went to the printing press with the wedding cards. Abhira, upset, asks why she went without asking for permission. Dadi steps in, telling them to calm down and stop fighting. She scolds them for their behavior and tells them to apologize, but they refuse. Instead, they hold their partners’ hands and walk away angrily. Afterward, Abhira looks at the wedding cards and starts crying.

Later, Armaan calls the printing press to get the names printed on the cards. Abhira quickly stops him, saying she doesn’t want to waste money by reprinting them. She tells him she has a better idea to fix the problem. Ruhi, feeling cornered, asks if she’s being scolded, while Rohit asks if she left out her parents’ names on purpose. Ruhi feels nervous and wonders why Rohit is doubting her. She starts crying and lies to him, making him feel sorry for her.

Ruhi tells Rohit that Abhira treats her badly, even slapping her once, and asks if she doesn’t deserve respect. Rohit, feeling sympathetic, tells her to calm down and promises to talk to his mother on her behalf. Meanwhile, Abhira comes up with a plan to stick the missing names on the cards with strips. She’s happy with her solution, and Armaan watches her with admiration. When she asks if he likes the idea, he smiles and tells her he loves both the idea and her. They work together, sticking the strips onto the cards, and playfully paste each other’s names on their foreheads, laughing and declaring that they belong to each other.

In another part of the house, Vidya prepares a special herbal paste, or uptan, for the wedding. Dadi praises her for her hard work but warns her to keep an eye on Abhira and not let anything go wrong. She tells Vidya that if something does go wrong, Vidya will be the one to blame. Vidya assures Dadi that she’ll take care of everything. Later, Dadi asks Armaan to apply the uptan, but he’s busy with urgent work and says he’ll do it later. Dadi understands and leaves him alone.

Vidya then goes to Abhira to apply the uptan. She explains that it’s an organic paste she made especially for Abhira and insists that she use it every day to ensure her skin looks radiant for the wedding. Abhira, focused on work, says she’ll apply it later. Vidya reminds her that Armaan has fair skin, and since Abhira has tanned, she needs to use the uptan twice a day to keep her skin glowing.

Later, while Vidya is on the phone with the pandit arranging the wedding rituals, she asks Abhira if she’s washed off the uptan. Abhira, in a hurry, replies that she has, but she’s busy with a case and doesn’t have time for beauty treatments. Ruhi overhears and smirks, thinking that Abhira is making things harder for herself without realizing it. Before leaving, Abhira promises Vidya that she’ll apply the uptan properly and won’t wash it off until she’s told to. Vidya, satisfied, lets her go.

Meanwhile, Ruhi tries to win Vidya over by acting sweet and helpful. She tells Vidya that she’s arranged for a beauty parlor to send staff to help them prepare for the wedding and apologizes for the mistake she made the previous day. She mentions that the beauty treatment idea is good, but Vidya points out that Abhira is too busy with work to participate fully.

Armaan and Abhira arrive at the court for a case and accidentally bump into each other. In that moment, they share a loving exchange, telling each other “I love you” before getting back to their work.

Ruhi, on the other hand, continues to act sweet towards Vidya, trying to please her. But deep down, she thinks that Abhira will never fit into the family’s mold, no matter how hard she tries.
