Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 28th September 2024 Written Episode Update: Dadi scolds Vidya

The episode begins with Armaan deciding they need to leave the house. He tells everyone that if Vidya had asked for it, he would have even given his life. She once called him her son, and now it’s his duty to respect her wishes. Abhira tries to reason with him, telling him that this house is part of his world, but Armaan stands firm. He explains that Vidya gave him everything, and now it’s time for him to give something back. When Abhira pleads with Vidya not to force them out, Armaan simply takes her hand and insists they must leave. Tears flow from everyone as they watch them.

Abhira still hopes to talk to Vidya, thinking she might change her mind. But Armaan is determined. He reminds Abhira that Vidya doesn’t want them there, and Dadi only agreed to let them stay reluctantly. He explains that if Vidya can’t stand seeing his face, it makes no sense for them to stay. Abhira insists that they can try to change Vidya’s heart, but Armaan says he has responsibilities, not rights. He will leave, but he hopes that one day Vidya might miss him.

Dadi is upset, and Sanjay comes to speak with her. He points out that everyone is unhappy, but maybe it’s best if Armaan and Abhira leave. He recalls what Dadi once said—that Vidya’s anger is sharper than any sword—and now, that anger has pushed Armaan and Abhira out. He believes they need to support Vidya as she deals with her pain. In his opinion, Abhira will never truly fit in, and Armaan’s decision to go against his mom proves he isn’t loyal to the family. Sanjay feels that even though they will miss Armaan, peace will return once he’s gone. Meanwhile, Armaan and Abhira sit together, crying over the situation.

Armaan feels guilty and tells Abhira that he’s failed as a husband. She tries to comfort him, asking him not to think like that, but he insists that she should start packing. At the same time, Rohit sits with a family photo, feeling emotional. Ruhi urges him to speak to Vidya and try to change her mind. She asks if he still doubts Armaan, now that he and Abhira are married. Rohit says he doesn’t have any doubts—he knows Armaan truly loves Abhira. Ruhi begs him to talk to Vidya, but Rohit doesn’t think she’ll listen. They hug, feeling the pain of their family breaking apart.

Later, Abhira goes to Vidya. She tells Vidya that while she and Armaan are leaving, she is leaving behind his childhood memories for Vidya. Vidya is clearly hurt, and Abhira acknowledges her pain. She tells Vidya that she will miss Armaan once he’s gone. Abhira holds up a photo but accidentally drops it, and she picks it up again. She reminds Vidya about the bangles she gave her, along with the promise that she would never separate Armaan from his family. Abhira tells her that she won’t break that promise—she won’t give the bangles back and won’t let Armaan be separated from his family. Then she leaves with determination.

Krish and the others are downcast, feeling powerless. Ruhi comes in and reminds them that although they are young, they still have a voice. She tells them that Armaan and Abhira are their brother and sister-in-law, and it’s heartbreaking that they can’t do anything to help. Unbeknownst to them, someone is secretly watching.

The next morning, Manish looks through old photos, reminiscing about happier times. He comments that both Abhira and Ruhi are now part of the same family and hopes they find happiness. Armaan, meanwhile, tells Rohit that he can always call if he needs anything. Rohit replies that he doesn’t need a reason to call his brother. They share a heartfelt hug, and Rohit promises Armaan that he will try to convince their mother to call them back. Armaan tells him to take care of Vidya. Everyone shares emotional goodbyes as they hug Armaan and Abhira.

Madhav also hugs them, begging Armaan to stay, but Vidya remains stern. She steps forward and offers Armaan and Abhira curd and sugar, a traditional good luck gesture. Armaan looks around and notices that Dadi is missing, asking where she is. Sanjay says she’s nowhere to be found. Just then, the servants bring in white clothes, and a priest enters, saying he’s been called to perform someone’s last rites. The entire family is left in shock.
