Anupama 1st October 2024 Written Episode Update: Anupama proposes to Anuj

The episode begins with Anuj and Anupama coming home, showing their respect by touching Babuji’s feet. Aadhya warmly hugs them, clearly happy to see them. Bala compliments them, saying they make a wonderful pair, and Aadhya playfully wards off the evil eye. Indra suggests that Anu and Anuj should always stay together, even hinting that Anu should say yes to him. Nandita eagerly adds that it would be amazing to have another wedding in the house. Kinjal wishes Anupama good luck, but others look unhappy about the idea.

Babuji turns to Dolly and tells her she should go back to her husband, Sanjay. Baa agrees, saying that at their age, they shouldn’t be living apart. Babuji adds that Dolly’s presence in the house only causes conflicts, especially with Anupama. He reminds her firmly that this isn’t her house and she doesn’t have a right to stay there. Just then, Sagar and Meenu come in and ask Babuji for his blessing before their exam that day. Baa blesses them as well, but Dolly rudely says that taking exams won’t make them judges. After the kids leave, Dolly complains, saying she has every right to feel upset. Baa agrees that she understands, mentioning that she, too, had felt similar when Vanraj married Anupama. But Babuji points out that it’s the same Anupama who is supporting them now and asks them not to trouble her.

In another part of the house, Titu tells Dimpy he doesn’t want to be a burden on Anupama and wants to return to Mumbai. He suggests that they take Baa and Babuji with them. Dimpy refuses, saying that Anupama is there to take care of them, and she questions why she should take on the responsibility. She insists she won’t leave until she gets her share of the property. Titu, getting frustrated, asks her one last time if she wants to come with him. Dimpy refuses, so Titu decides he’s leaving for good, saying he values his self-respect. Dimpy accuses him of running away, just like her father. Titu clarifies that he’s leaving after informing her, unlike her father. During their argument, a ball suddenly hits Dimpy’s neck. Titu asks if she’s hurt, but Dimpy gets angry and storms out.

Dimpy goes outside and demands to know who hit the ball. Aadhya quickly apologizes, saying it was an accident. Despite the apology, Dimpy angrily throws the ball at Aadhya’s feet, causing her pain. Ansh, who is watching, steps in and admits he was the one who threw the ball. He tells Dimpy that even though Aadhya apologized, she didn’t accept it and bluntly tells her that she is a bad mother. Enraged, Dimpy raises her hand to hit Ansh, but Aadhya stops her. Aadhya stands her ground, saying she won’t let Dimpy harm Ansh. Dimpy furiously threatens to slap Aadhya instead, but before she can do anything, Anuj arrives and grabs her hand. He demands to know how she could even think about hitting Aadhya, emphasizing that they have never treated Aadhya like that. Anupama also arrives, questioning why Dimpy is acting this way with the children.

Upset, Ansh declares that he no longer wants to live with his mother and wants to stay with his grandmother instead. He explains that Dimpy is always scolding them, and he feels safer with Anupama and Aadhya. Dimpy accuses Aadhya of turning Ansh against her, but Aadhya tells her that Dimpy’s behavior is the reason for Ansh’s feelings. Furious, Dimpy yells at Aadhya, calling her a curse. Anupama steps in, angry at Dimpy for her words, and Dimpy storms off. Aadhya and Ansh hug Anuj and Anupama, with Aadhya insisting she did nothing wrong. Anupama and Anuj comfort her, assuring her that everything is alright.

Later, Anupama watches Anuj working and feels happy. She silently prays that no harm comes his way, as she loves him dearly. Anupama thinks about her feelings for Anuj—he’s handsome, loving, and always by her side. She wonders why she hesitates to say yes to him, but past fears and doubts creep in. She worries about repeating old mistakes. Still, she decides to trust her heart and feels that even Kanha ji is pushing her towards this happiness. Lost in her thoughts, Babuji approaches her and gently asks what’s on her mind. He encourages her to let go of her fears and embrace the love she has now, reminding her that happiness shouldn’t be postponed because of worries about the future.

Anupama later takes a cup of coffee to Anuj, apologizing that it has gone cold. He teases her, saying it seems like she wants to discuss something. She tells him she needs to talk about “Anu ki Rasoi” but wants to do it outside. She promises to make fresh coffee and quickly leaves. Anuj takes a sip and smiles, enjoying the taste anyway.

Later, Dimpy, still bitter, pours tea over Aadhya’s family painting and pretends it was an accident. Aadhya gets upset, saying her beautiful family portrait is ruined. Dimpy tells her to make another one and mocks her for overreacting.

After some time, Anuj comes to find Anupama, and they share a romantic moment, dancing to the song “Aaye Tu Meri Zindagi Mein.” In a heartfelt gesture, Anupama gets down on one knee and proposes to Anuj, showing him a Radha Krishna chain pendant she bought for him. Anuj, overwhelmed with happiness, says yes and shows her a similar pendant he bought for her. They exchange the pendants, and as they do, they notice fireflies lighting up around them, with #Maan written in the distance. Anuj, overjoyed, thanks Anupama and declares their upcoming wedding. Anupama playfully warns him not to wake everyone, but Anuj is too excited to contain himself. He rushes home, banging a spoon against a plate to announce the big news.

Everyone gathers, confused by the noise. Baa asks why he’s causing such a commotion, and Aadhya is worried about waking up the kids. Anuj, smiling broadly, announces that he and Anupama are getting married and that Anupama has finally said yes. Aadhya beams with joy and hugs them.

However, not everyone is happy. Dolly, Pakhi, Toshu, and Dimpy express their disapproval, accusing Anuj and Anupama of being shameless for wanting to get married at their age. Pakhi worries about the impact on the children. Kinjal stays supportive, while Bala and Indra also approve, saying that love should be celebrated, no matter the age. Toshu mocks them, and Bala fires back, defending Anuj and Anupama. Pakhi claims that the children will only think of their grandmother as shameless for remarrying at her age.

The next day, Anupama and Anuj are out enjoying golgappas together and having a good time. Suddenly, a biker hits them, causing them both to fall. As they look around, they find their pendants broken and scattered on the road—an unsettling sign, perhaps, for the future.
