Jagriti 4th October 2024 Written Episode Update

Jagriti

Jagriti speaks to Durjan and the others about Geeta, who she knows only as “Mamma.” She tells everyone how Mamma inspired her to pursue an education, regardless of her being a Chitta. This concerns Bindi, who quickly pulls Jagriti aside, intending to teach her a lesson. Durjan watches the situation unfold, remembering Kalikant’s warning.

Bindi complains to Harish, saying, “Jagriti is talking about education again.” Jagriti, puzzled, asks why Bindi is so upset just because she mentioned learning. Bindi responds angrily, saying she knows the consequences of education all too well. She remembers how much their community suffered because of Geeta’s influence. Bindi warns Jagriti that if Kalikant finds out a Chitta is interested in education, he will show no mercy, and no one will be able to protect her. She urges Harish to make Jagriti understand that these ideas are dangerous. Harish, thinking of Geeta, reluctantly tells Jagriti to forget about getting an education.

Later, Golu and his friends discuss what Jagriti had said. They agree that education must be bad since their parents always tell them to avoid it. Just then, Kachori arrives and shares that Jagriti thinks education can bring respect to their community. Golu, annoyed, warns Kachori not to take Jagriti’s side, or he will tell their mother about her support for these ideas.

That night, Nanda questions Durjan about why he allows Jagriti to speak so freely. Durjan calls her over and points up at the moon, explaining, “For Jagriti, education is like that moon—something she will never be able to reach.” Nanda, however, argues, “Earning Rs. 100 was once like reaching the moon, but Jagriti did it. If she gets an education, you could lose control over the community.” Angered by her words, Durjan punishes Nanda by pressing her hand on a hot pan and makes a harsh comment before walking away.

Later, Jagriti sits under the stars, talking to her mother. Kachori joins her, and Jagriti vents her frustration—Harish and Bindi refuse to understand why she wants to learn. Kachori advises her to explain things to Harish the way Mamma explained them to her. Inspired, Jagriti decides to take Harish to meet Mamma, hoping she can make him understand the importance of education. Kachori, worried, asks how that would work since Harish cannot move by himself. Just then, Jagriti sees some children playing with tires, and an idea forms.

Jagriti heads to the junkyard, and with Kachori’s help, they take apart an old four-wheel cart, removing the tires.

The next morning, Bindi wakes Harish, asking where Jagriti is since no one has seen her. Moments later, Jagriti arrives with other children, proudly revealing the wheelchair she built for Harish, showing it to everyone in the community.

Jagriti presents the wheelchair to Harish and explains that she made it so he could accompany her to meet Mamma, who would teach him why education matters. Durjan, sarcastically, praises Jagriti’s creativity, saying, “Today you’ve built a wheelchair; tomorrow, you might even give Harish wings.” Unfazed, Jagriti replies, “It would be wonderful if I could give him wings.” Durjan, his tone cold, warns her, “If Harish had wings, you’d better make sure they don’t get broken or destroyed by an eagle.”
