Mishri Episode 15th September 2024 Written: Mishri Finds New Spark of Hope

Mishri is feeling anxious as she takes part in a scholarship competition. She prays for courage and promises to offer butter to God if she succeeds. Keshav joins her in prayer, while Ridhi watches with a smug look, certain that Mishri won’t make it past the first round. Ridhi had earlier swapped Mishri’s textbook, hoping this would ruin her chances, even if her teacher tried to help.

The competition starts with the host explaining that questions will appear on a screen, and contestants need to press a button to answer. Mishri tries to stay calm, but Raghav notices she’s nervous. He quietly tells Vaani that despite Mishri’s calm appearance, she’s clearly struggling. Raghav and Vaani both wish good luck to Mishri and Ridhi before the questions begin. Ridhi and the other contestants answer quickly, but Mishri stays silent, feeling overwhelmed by the English questions she finds difficult.

At the end of the first round, the host announces that Mishri and Keshav have both scored zero and are disqualified. Raghav feels disappointed and talks about it with Vaani. Ridhi takes the chance to mock Mishri, saying she doesn’t deserve the scholarship and isn’t good enough to compete. Ridhi also makes fun of Mishri’s background, implying she doesn’t belong in the competition.

In response, Mishri asks the other students to step forward if they are not poor, own a car, or don’t need the scholarship to continue their education. As most students step forward, only Mishri and Keshav remain. Mishri argues that the contest is unfair because the questions are in English, which she struggles with. Ridhi dismisses her concerns, telling her to accept defeat. Mishri then asks Ridhi an English question, which Ridhi can’t answer. Mishri explains the question and describes how frustrating it was to face questions she couldn’t understand.

Mishri says the contest is biased against students from Hindi-medium backgrounds. Raghav agrees, and the audience starts to support Mishri. However, the final decision is up to the University head. Meanwhile, Ranjith worries about what would happen if his family found out the truth and decides to remove Mishri and his own child from the competition.

Later, Mishri tries to speak with Samarth, but he insults her, highlighting her modest background. Nevertheless, Mishri’s strong reply catches his attention, and he gives her five minutes to present her case. Despite her well-reasoned arguments, Samarth decides not to change the rules, focusing solely on business. Feeling disheartened, Mishri finds comfort in Raghav’s support, who tells her she is still a winner in his eyes and encourages her to keep believing in herself. Vaani, watching their interaction, feels uncomfortable.
