Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 29th September 2024 Written Episode Update: Abhira’s first Rasoi

The episode starts with Ruhi telling Abhira how happy she is that they didn’t leave the house. Manish then calls Ruhi and asks about Abhira to know if everything is alright. Abhira signals Ruhi, not to mention anything. Ruhi reassures Manish, telling him everything is fine and they are busy with some rituals. She hands the phone to Abhira, who greets Manish and tells him not to worry—they are doing well. Manish, now relieved, feels happy hearing this. Ruhi then says Buasa calls her, and Abhira says they’ll talk later. Manish gives his blessings before ending the call. Abhira thanks Ruhi for not revealing anything to Manish. Manish, meanwhile, tells Swarna that his promise to Akshu and Aarohi, which is to keep Ruhi happy, will soon be fulfilled. Swarna smiles at his words.

Elsewhere, Sanjay tells Kajal that he tried to convince Maasa, but she insists on stopping Abhira and Armaan. Kajal disagrees, and they start arguing. Ruhi hears their conversation and intervenes, asking Sanjay not to add more fuel to the fire. Sanjay taunts her for changing so much. Ruhi responds firmly, saying she has learned from her mistakes and tells him to look at his actions. She then leaves.

Later, Ruhi thinks about what Armaan had said. She looks at his photos and realizes the pain she has caused him, Rohit, and their families. Feeling determined to change, she decides to leave her stubbornness behind. She burns Armaan’s photos, tears streaming down her face. “I have not valued those who are mine,” she says, “and you were never meant for me. It’s time for a fresh start. I promise myself that I will never look back again.”

Meanwhile, Abhira brings dinner for Armaan, who is already asleep. The song “Pal Ek Pal” plays softly as she watches him. Afterward, she lies down next to him without eating.
Ruhi suddenly falls, and Rohit rushes over to check on her. Confused, she wonders why the couch broke. Rohit jokes, asking if she’s been eating too many sweets lately. They decide to fix the couch the next day. Ruhi suggests she’ll sleep in the guest room tonight, but Rohit stops her, reminding her that this is her room too and she should stay if she feels comfortable. He gently holds her hand, indicating his care.

The next morning, Abhira wakes up determined to shower Armaan with love. She gives him a gentle kiss on his forehead, which makes him suddenly wake up shouting, “Don’t leave me, Maa!” He realizes it’s Abhira and not his mother. Abhira tells him she has to get ready for her first cooking ritual. She knows he’s still hurting because of his mother and wishes he would open up to her, but Armaan remains silent.

Rohit wakes up, wondering if Ruhi moved to the guest room while sleeping. To his surprise, Ruhi walks in with tea. She asks what he’d like for lunch and brings some suits. She suggests taking Vidya shopping later and says she could also pick up some shirts for him. Noticing her sudden behavior change, Rohit asks what happened to bring this on. Ruhi thinks about Armaan’s words and tears up but stays quiet. Rohit hugs her gently and tells her that it’s okay if she doesn’t want to talk—he’s just happy to see her old self again.

Armaan is in the shower when Abhira knocks, asking for the engagement ring he left inside. He finds the ring, and she tells him to hurry up since it’s her first cooking ceremony, and she doesn’t want to be late. He irritably tells her to wait for just two minutes. After taking the ring, Abhira starts to leave but ends up slipping. Armaan catches her, and they end up in the shower, sharing a close moment. Just as he’s about to kiss her, he suddenly remembers Vidya’s curse and steps back. He tells her, “You’re getting late,” Abhira, sensing his unease, says she is also worried about his mother, but they could share their burdens. Armaan dismisses her, asking her to get ready.

Later, Manisha helps Abhira prepare for her first cooking ritual, setting up everything needed to make kheer (sweet rice pudding). Abhira agrees and starts cooking. Seeing Abhira’s mood, Manisha asks if everything is alright. Ruhi arrives, and Abhira, trying to change the subject, says she’s just feeling hungry. Manisha questions if Armaan didn’t bring her kachoris as he had planned with his cousins. Abhira lies, saying she ate them, but she’s still hungry. She then serves the kheer to everyone, who smiles in approval.

Curious, Abhira asks if Vidya is coming to join them. She then goes to Vidya herself and offers her the kheer. Vidya angrily throws the spoon aside and instead serves food to Rohit. Armaan looks on sadly, and Abhira feels saddened by the situation. Madhav praises her, saying the kheer tastes great, and hands her some money as “shogun” (a blessing). Kajal and the others also give her a shogun. Dadi then stops Abhira and asks if she wouldn’t accept her blessing. She gives Abhira a letter, and when Abhira reads it, she realizes it’s a job offer for a position at the Poddar firm. Armaan looks at the letter, equally surprised.

Sanjay questions Dadi, asking why she’s breaking her own rules. Dadi confidently responds, “I make the rules and can change them too. It’s my house and my company.” She offers Abhira the job, adding that it will allow her to spend more time with Armaan, but ultimately leaves the decision to her.

PRECAP: Abhira worries that taking the job might upset Vidya. Vidya, meanwhile, confronts Dadi, demanding to know why she offered Abhira the position. Dadi explains that she wants Armaan to stand by the family and be more supportive.
