Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 3rd September 2024 Written Episode Update: Dadi Surprises Abhira

The episode begins with Madhav reassuring Abhira, saying, “You’ll be able to handle everything.” But Abhira, feeling anxious, replies, “I’m sorry, I can’t. I’m scared of Vidya.” Madhav reminds her, “Vidya is your mother, you don’t need to feel pressure like you’re in a competition to be the perfect daughter-in-law.”

Abhira goes to Vidya and hugs her, trying to make peace. She says, “Armaan and I chose the Kalgi and Maang tika designs. I’m doing my best to manage everything, but I need your support.” Instead of understanding, Vidya scolds her. Manisha tries to calm things down, saying, “She’s apologizing, Vidya.” But Vidya responds, “Why should I be gentle? She needs to listen.” Manisha suggests Vidya speak with more kindness, but Vidya says, “I’d say the same to Kiara and Charu. Take a few days off. It’s your wedding, and you’re trying to do everything yourself, even paying off loans. But what about the family? We’re all working hard on your wedding, but you’re making it seem like it’s just your responsibility.” She walks away, leaving Abhira feeling frustrated.

Manisha tells Abhira, “I know you, but maybe things won’t change completely.” Abhira, determined, responds, “I’m not going to compromise on my work. My mom’s dream is for me to become a successful lawyer.” Meanwhile, Dadi remembers something Sanjay had told her and looks worried.

The next morning, Ruhi wonders if Dadi will ever return to her old self. Vidya arrives and asks, “Is breakfast ready?” Ruhi happily replies, “Abhira made Himachali food! We should hurry. She’s called the tailor to take our measurements and is planning the Nathh function.”

As everyone looks at the designs, Ruhi sees one and remembers Akshu. The tailor asks if anyone else needs their measurements taken. Abhira says, “Yes, my mom still needs hers,” and asks Vidya for her measurements. Madhav smiles at her, but Ruhi looks upset. Rohit arrives and asks Ruhi, “Is something wrong because of Abhira?” Ruhi shakes her head and says, “No, it’s something else. It’s a hurt from my childhood—time and medicine haven’t healed it.”

Abhira serves the Himachali food she’s prepared and explains the dishes to everyone. While they enjoy the meal, an argument breaks out between Abhira and Sanjay. Afterward, Abhira goes to the kitchen to get more food and thinks, “I need to earn money so the family doesn’t feel any financial burden. Why hasn’t my loan been approved yet?” The tailor asks for an advance payment, and Abhira offers 5,000 rupees, but he says it will only cover one person.

At that moment, Armaan steps in and asks, “What’s going on? I’ll cover the cost.” Abhira refuses his help and sends the tailor away. Armaan, concerned, says, “Why did you send him away? You can borrow the money from me and pay it back later.” Abhira replies, “I’ve already borrowed money from you.” Armaan reassures her, “Don’t worry about it, it’s your money too.” Dadi overhears this and mutters, “Armaan is willing to spend our money on this girl.”

Meanwhile, Kiara and Charu excitedly make shopping plans. Dadi enters and says, “You can go shopping after you both sign these contract papers. Think of this as a life plan—bad times don’t give any warnings. I want both of you to read this contract, not as lovers, but as individuals.” Armaan, confused, says, “But Abhira and I truly love each other.” Dadi replies, “I know, but even true love faces challenges. Enjoy the good times, but be prepared for the bad.”

Abhira is shocked and says, “We aren’t even married yet, and you’re already thinking about our marriage ending?” Dadi explains, “These days, relationships don’t last long. It’s important to be practical. Wealthy families often make contracts like this. You shouldn’t have any problem signing it.” Abhira and Armaan read through the conditions, and Armaan immediately says, “Abhira won’t agree to the first condition. She’s very ambitious.” Sanjay agrees, saying that Abhira has a bright future ahead. Dadi replies, “She’ll see how hard it is to balance both work and family.”

The next condition says that Abhira and Armaan must have their first child within a year. Dadi adds, “Once she has a child, she’ll be too busy to focus on other things.” Sanjay questions, “But what if she thinks she can handle both her career and family? What then?” Dadi insists, “Armaan can’t risk his career.”

The final condition shocks Abhira the most: if the marriage ends, the Poddar family will get custody of the child. Overwhelmed, Abhira starts crying.
